ika nga ni pa_canton, matigas talaga ulo ko. this is where we all began. this is were the original ETERNAL FORMAT began. this is where the brave, the strong, the balls plays vintage.

THIS IS WHERE I STARTED
thanks to all the players who influenced me to this format.

anyway, back to the topic:

greatly appreciate the efforts of Andrew and those following his footsteps

Congrats to the rest of top 8, team mate Marcelle, fishlord Aries for the win.

Played to 3-1-1 using NLD/Tropical Storm, finishing 5th after the elims.

Round 1: vs Tez (Resley) Lost 1-2, both loses to Myr Battlesphere and Misdirected key cards
Round 2: vs Belcher (Jason) Win 2-0, Control the mana, you control belcher
Round 3: vs Agro MUD (JM) Win 2-1, was able to control his spheres and cotvs early, Oath in the 3rd match with double flux
Round 4: vs Steel City Vault (Marcel) Win 2-1, thanks for the Doomsday inspiration 'mate
Round 5: vs Trygon Tez (Ryan) ID
Round6: vs Monoblue Control / Fish (Aries) Lost 0-2 - dominated with tons and tons(and still tons) of draws, not to mention by my own robot (via Bribery)

Tournament Summary Report:

Jason Basal using Belcher's AFTERMATH

5 GAME SWISS:

Round 1 - JayPang (MUD)
Game 1 Win: I played first, Got a nice hand to
execute ETW with storm count 8
Game 2 Win: Got leyline of anticipation in my
openning hand. I able to cast ETW
with storm count 8 and be blown off
by steel hellkite. Luckily I have
tinker in my hand and be able to
cast ETW from memory jar

Round 2 - Chingpaq (TPTS)
Game 1: On the draw, got my artifacts producing
red get countered by spell pierce or FOW.
Got killed by tendrils of agony.
Round 2 Loss: Bad draw, no red mana came out. Got killed
by platinum angel. Munching all the way

Round 3 - Gio (TPTS)
Game 1 Win: I played first, I able to execute goblin
charbelcher on turn two
Game 2 Loss: Bombs get countered. Killed by tendrils of
agony
Game 3 Win: He Mulligan to 3 cards. I respond with a
time twister in my turn. He allowed to resolve
my goblin welder and FOW my goblin charbelcher.
Next turn, I weld out my charbelcher tapping
2 moxen and 1 ESG in my hand for the kill

Round 4 - Resley (TEZ)
Game 1 Loss: I played first, made this stupid move. I cast
mana crpyt and mox emerald and played ESG!! then
drop down a LED and say go LOL. At the end of the
game, I have top decked a tinker with 2 autumn's
veil to back it off. Unfortunately,

Game 2 Win: I able to cast goblin welder and goblin charbelcher
with the help of lotus and mana vault. He pithing needle
my welder and I top decked a LED in my turn for the kill
Round 3 Win: I able to top deck goblin charbelcher with channel in
my hand. Luckily he doesn't have FOW in his hand.

5 Game - Marco (MUD)
ID

Top 8

Againts JayPang (MUD)

Game 1 Win: On the draw. He cast thorn of amethyst in his turn then
past the turn. I able to cast mana crypt, sol ring and
mox opal with my ESG. On my second turn, I top decked a
tinker. I cast the lotus petal and sac the mox opal to get
the charbelcher. On his turn, he played tangle wire. During
my upkeep I stack the ability of tangle wire and execute
charbelcher.

Game 2 Loss: I mulligan for 3 hoping for a miracle but it didn't come.
Game 3 Loss: It would be my time to shine but spoiled by bad draw. I
mulligan for 6 but got nothing either. I don't know why
I keep it. I should have tried to mulligan it to 5 but
to some extent I have been distracted. Anyway, good game
for me. Good game JayPang =p

Congrats to the fish lord Aries for winning and the rest of the top 8.

A short tourney report using ruthless golem deck (a new tweek for null rod base workshop deck, see decklist)

Round 1 - BYE, wow!

Round 2 - Gio (Gushbond) - WIN 2-0
Game 1 - Me Mull to 5, Gio Mull to 6, He was lock by 3 spheres, su-chi finished it off
Game 2 - We both mull to 6, got lucky Gio was on his way to win but misplayed in his last play

Round 3 - Resley (Tez) - WIN 2-0
Game 1 - Su-chi finished the game, Resley got bad draw and tolarian academy which is not online
Game 2 - Lock by 2 Tangle Wires, 1 Null Rod, Precursor Golem finished it off

Round 4 - Ryan (Trygon Tez) - WIN 2-0
Game 1 - He Tinker Sphinx with no cards in hand, during my turn I play 1 Tangle Wire and 1 Smokestack, Controlled his permanents
Game 2 - Fully setup, COW-Stripmine with Smokestack in play

Round 5 - Jason (Belcher) - ID

Playoffs:

Quarterfinals - Von (MUD) - WIN 2-0
Game 1 - 2 Lodestone Golem and 1 Trike for him but I got more creatures, 1 Lodestone Golem and 2 Precursor Golem 7 in total, runoff by my golems
Game 2 - Razormane Masticore control the game

Semis - Aries (BBS) - LOSS 0-2
Game 1 - He play first with a black lotus opening, mana vault, voltaic key, lots of mana accelerants, Waste and Strip effects my lands, Loss by aggro
Game 2 - Again He play with a black lotus opening, loss to painter grind
