The Vintage Philippines Player of the Year 2011 award is based on the monthly Vintage Tournament points earned. The POY will be the player with the highest point total. In the event of ties at the end of Wrestlemania, the POY will be determined by a single best-of-3 match.

The Vintage Philippines Player of Year 2011 will be given 50% discount on the participation fees for the Vintage tournaments hosted by K&T this 2012. In addition, he will keep the Vintage Philippines Championship Belt. Other possible rewards await (subject to availability)

Newbies defined as never played a single Vintage tournament ever

Registration 10:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Strictly Starts 1 p.m.

Tournament Format
• Vintage Constructed
• Proxies allowed - 13 or more (beyond 13 proxies subject to P25/card)
• Deck lists are required

Tournament Structure
• Modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds).
• Casual Unsanctioned
• The Top 8 players after the final Swiss round will advance to the Top 8 single-elimination finals.
• Top 8 playoff matches will be best 2 of 3, and have no time limit. (Players are still expected to play at a normal pace and complete playoff matches in a reasonable amount of time.)
• Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.

Tournament Advantage
• The top 6 Vintage players based on the points system, as of November 2011, receives 1 pt. The 1 pt will be added to the point total of the player in the Swiss rounds.


Notes
• Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.
• Non-profit tournament
• Since we will have a casual setting, we can opt not to have a judge, but instead have a rules advisor or community moderation

Guidelines for Proxy Cards
• Erased blank MTG cards, with colored printout of the card
• Standard SCG format of proxies allowed. Proxies can be a basic land using pentel pen. Card name should be in bold letters. Additional details of the card should be made available via print out.
• Disallowed are printouts glued on the card itself with noticeable thickness
• 13 proxies are allowed. Proxies after the allotted 13 will be charged P25/card
